Nitzavim-Vayeilech / נצבים־וילך
Nitzavim-Vayeilech (“Standing”-“He Went”) is a double Torah portion. In it, Moses calls for adherence to God’s covenant and describes the process of returning to God. He encourages the Israelites and Joshua, their next leader, to be strong as they enter the Land of Israel, and writes a poem that he teaches to the Israelites.
בפרשה הכפולה נצבים-וילך משה מכניס את העם בברית עם אלוהים. מתואר תהליך התשובה הצפוי לעם ישראל בגלות ותהליך השיבה לארץ. שמירת התורה מתוארת כדבר אפשרי ובהישג יד: "לא בשמים היא." משה מעביר את ההנהגה ליהושע. מתוארת מצוות הקהל, שבה נקראת התורה בכל שבע שנים במעמד מיוחד של כל העם. אלוהים מצווה את משה לכתוב את השירה, עדות לבני ישראל.
